Joy Dinio was born in the Philippines and moved to the United States at 18. Her passion has always been for photography, education, and travel. Hence, while completing her degree, she would travel to the Philippines to educate young children from underserved communities with her sisters. During her travels, she explores the islands of the Philippines and is eager to share its beauty through photos and writing.

For the past years, she has been working as an educator and photographer. She graduated from Prince George's Community College in Largo, Maryland and later attended Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland.

Joy's work has been featured on Passion Passport, Daniel Wellington, Daniel Wellington en EspaƱol, Suitcase Magazine, DxO One, Dame Traveler, The Virginia Pilot, Virginia is for Lovers, and Nomad Lane.

In 2015, Joy married Clark Dinio. The couple live in Hampton, Virginia.
